Welcome to the wonderful world of Eibisch. I am Eibisch and I will be your diarist here for the forseeable future.

Eibisch, for those that care, is German for "Marshmallow." Kind of.

Eibisch can be identified by the following:

-waist length dark brown, nearly black, hair and brown eyes.

-5 feet, 3 inches in height

-born March 2 (Pisces)

-parents divorced

-one sister, to be known as "Bootsie" for the purpose of this diary, who is blue-eyed, blond and 5’10"

-one cat, Tinker. He is 17 and he despises me. I’m not kidding! I shudder to think what would become of me if I didn’t know how to use the can opener!

-love of reading. All genres.

-love of music, especially oldies.

-Elvis Presley fanatic!

-collects anything and everything Elvis.

-terrified of bees, wasps and other winged, stinging creatures.

-found glued to favorite T.V. shows such as "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" and the defunct “Homicide: Life on the Streets”.

-believes Jon Seda is gorgeous! (Thank God for UC:Undercover!)

-love of animals--it is my secret desire to start an alpaca ranch and get some horses, emus, birds, dogs and some cats that like me! (Do I sound like a dork?)

-loves Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. (I just realized I AM a dork!)

-plays the French Horn, piano and various percussion instruments.

-loves to sing, but I can’t carry a tune. It’s so embarrassing!

-favorite Elvis song is “Don’t.”

-favorite song of all is “At Last” by Etta James.

-constantly watches NCAA football and basketball, especially the Big Ten Conference teams (there are actually 11 teams in the conference). I love the Iowa Hawkeyes--the coaches not so much.

-wears glasses.

-others believe favorite color to be green

-favorite color is actually lavender

-stereo is on just about 24/7. I usually split the time between the oldies station and various cds. On my computer it's almost exclusively Elvis--with a dash of Weezer and the Plain White T's...if you're ever in Chicago...thrown in for flavor.
